During late fall, students in grades 1-8 may enroll in the ski program which takes place Friday afternoons for 5 weeks in January and February. Organized by the Plainfield School Ski Committee, the program takes place at Whaleback. The cost of the program is provided by the participants. Students not involved in the ski program participate in three weeks of F.A.S.T. or Friday Afternoon Special Period. Teachers provide instruction and/or supervision in other activities such as snowshoeing, cooking, knitting, and more.
