Interpreter Tutor Certificate from NH Vocational Technical College, 1983 Keene State College, B.S. Elementary Education, 1990 Currently enrolled in the graduate program at Plymouth State University. I began working at PES as a Sign Language Interpreter in 1983. I worked with a student one on one from his Kindergarten through third grade year. I attended Keene State to finish my teaching degree and returned here to teach second grade for two years. I took a break from teaching to work at a wilderness lodge in Alaska's Denali National Park for 10 summers during which time I also raised a son. I returned in 1999 to teach third grade for one year then began job sharing with Betsy Rybeck Lynd in second grade. I have enjoyed being a part of this community for many years. Beyond teaching, working on Arts Enrichment programs and in the school garden have been especially rewarding. This year I am teaching full time and balancing a busy life with my husband and two sons.

B.S. Elementary Education, Castleton State College, Castleton, VT, 1976 Received Who's Who Among America's Teachers award for 2005-2006 year Named Walmart Teacher of the Year for 2007 I began teaching Grade 6 at Plainfield Elementary School January, 1978. I taught sixth grade through the 1989-1990 school year. I taught eighth grade in Old Town,ME for the 1990-1991 school year. I returned the following school year to Plainfield and taught a combination second and third grade for one year and have been teaching second grade ever since.
